On 26 February, Chloe became the Belgian Champion, with a new personal record at 4m25, jumping 10cm higher than second place and 20cm high than third.
Five hours later she was on a plane to Madrid for her final exams for the Master’s in Sports Management at IE Business School. The exams were a success, resulting in her graduating as Valedictorian on 7 March 2012.

With 4m15 Chloe became the Flemish Champion, breaking the Flemish Championship record, 4m02, that had been in place since 2005. She then attempted 4m25 to raise her Belgian record by 3cm.

Another meeting over the 4m. Starting at 3m81 (xxo, had to find the right pole), then 4m01 (xo) and 4m11 (o). She clearly had enough height on her second attempt at 4m21 (see picture, below), but unfortunately the pillars were in the wrong place.

Chloe opened her indoor season today in
Sittard. True to her nature, she kept it suspenseful. Originally
uncertain to compete due to a swollen ankle, after a quick visit to the
physiotherapist, she decided to compete. Commencing at the opening
height, 3m72, and passing on her first try. 3m82, 3m92 and 4m02 took a
few more attempts, passing on her third try for each. At 4m12 she jumped
the indoor record Belgian record. The next height was 4m22, after one
run through she made 4m22
with no problem, resulting in the highest jump ever by a Belgian female
pole vaulter and a new personal record.
She out jumped the rest of the competition by 20cm, placing first in front of Leonie Schilder (4m02) and Fanny Smets (3m92).

Belgian Championship
Relay - The 4x100 and 4x200 team consisted of Chloe, Sanne Moonen,
Charlotte Vanden Daele and Laura Quirin. A nice run in the 4x100 with a
time of 50.21 placed them 10th, missing out on the final by 0.22.
The
surprise of the day came in the 4x200 when they qualified7th for the
final with a time of 1:46.39. They were able to better their time,
1:45.02, moving them up to the 6th place.

On Wednesday 7 September Chloe jumped 4m01
In the center of Aachen. She further attempted 4m11, which would have
meant a new personal record, but missed on all three attempt, placing
her 2nd on a count back.
That new personal record came 2 days later in the enter of Sittard where she jumped 4m11 and had 3 close attempts at the Belgian record height 4m21, placing her 3rd behind Olympian Caroline Hingst (Germany) and the Dutch Rianna Galiarts.

The VAC 4x100 A.C. females,
consisting of Laura Quirin, Chloe, Audrey Van Maele and Sanne Moonen,
won the Provincial Championship Sunday in Leuven.

After a mandatory week long university attendance in London, learning about the workings of global sport brands and corporations, Chloe jumped 4m at the Belgian Championship (and went directly to 4m10), placing her second just behind Fanny Smets who jumped 4m05.

A successful day for Chloe at Waremme where she not only placed first, but jumped a new personal record, 4m10!

It's been an eventful two weeks for Chloe. On May 14th she jumped 3m80 at the National Interclub meet, winning the pole vault competition and giving her team a full 12 points. She also ran the 4x100. Due to missing some top players, but with the help of young up and coming girls, the team placed 4th.
In the wee hours of the
morning Chloe left to attend the 2011 International Cannes Film Festival
where she walked the red carpet and where Amsterdam Heavy screened for
the first time (check out the gallery page for some pictures!).
Just after returning from an eventful trip to Cannes she participated in the Flemish Championship, jumping 3m92, a good result and a steady rise. Her next competition will be this Sunday, competing in the pole vault at the Grote Prijs Stad Lokeren.

Chloe competed in her first meet of the season yesterday in both the 100m and pole vault. She ran her personal record with 13.18 and jumped 3m72 from 12 steps. On the 14th of May she will be competing in the Interclub, helping her club defend their title. The competition will take place at the DCLA athletic track in Leuven.

Chloe has been invited to the 2011 International Cannes Film Festival to promote her latest film Amsterdam Heavy. She will be attending the Festival from 15-19 May.

Sorry for the delay!
Chloe competed in Sheffield on the 13th of February. After a 7 hour drive she had a good warm-up and first jumps at 3m61 and 3m76, making it over on both on the first attempts. She attempted 3m91, but unfortunately did not pass the height.
The following week she competed in the Belgium Championships where she was in first place up to 3m85, after attempting her first jump at 3m95 she had to pass to 4m, as Fanny Smets made it on her second attempt at 3m95. Even though it looked liked she succeed on her second and final jump at 4m, after a protracted moment in time, the bar just fell off, even after Chloe landed on the mat, placing her second.
As Chloe has been accepted into the IE Business School in Sports Management program, which required a mandatory two weeks in Madrid, she had to end her season prematurely.
We look forward to seeing her in the outdoor season!

Amsterdam Heavy is a wrap for Chloe. She
finished filming her final scenes yesterday in Amsterdam. After filming
she returned quickly to Belgium to be able to compete today in
Luxembourg.
Chloe jumped 3m91 in Luxembourg, placing her 4th on a count back just behind Arlette Bruelhart from Switzerland. She went on to attempt 4m01. She had the top placement out of the Belgian female athletes. Results can be seen at: http://www.fla.lu/.

Once again she became the Brabant Provincial Champion in pole vault on 08 Jan. 2011 and vice-champion in the 60m hurdles, a nice accomplishment considering it is not part of her general training program, as well as being sick on that day. world premiere of Life
is an Art at the Razor Reel Fantastic Film Festival in Brugge on 02

Chloe has been casted in a new feature film - Amsterdam Heavy, which will start filming in January and is planned to be released at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival! She will be playing "Chloe", an ass-kicking chick. The movie also stars Allyson Carrol, Jeroen Post and Fajah Lourens.
Synopsis: A gangster smuggles himself
back to Amsterdam (against all odds) and goes on a rampage in the Dutch
capital
with nothing then his fists and a burning desire for retribution.
During his quest to find out

participants from USA, Australia, Netherlands and the best in Belgium.

Chloe won the pole vault competition to gain 13 points for the club. She also ran in the 4x100m with Sanne Moonen, Elodie Ouedraogo and Frauke Penen, placing 2nd.

Sorry for the long absence. Have been quite busy and haven't had time to update the website.
Due to an injury Chloe was unable to compete in the indoor season after mid-January. Her injury has healed and she has returned to normal training.
She recently participated in the annual training camp at the World Pole Vault Center in Formia, Italy. Photos coming soon!
The competition season is starting! Chloe is scheduled to participate in the following competitions:
- 13/05/10 Flanders Cup in St. Niklaas.
